Certificate in Dance Integration
New in 2015!

Participants in this preparation program will earn a Certification in Dance Integration and learn skills for authentic inclusion of dance in education. Offered in several intensive sessions, participants will develop strategies to use dance to contribute to academic achievement, learn best practices in assessment, and practice classroom management skills and skills for partnering with classroom teachers. Successful completion of this program provides a recognized credential that enables candidates to be eligible for upcoming teaching positions in Missoula schools.

Final Teaching Projects in the Schools

Cost: $225, plus textbook purchase Dance Integration: 36 Dance Lesson Plans for Science and Mathematics.

Professional dance teachers, creative arts teachers, and K-5 classroom teachers are invited to apply. Application deadline is May 11. To apply, submit:

  1. A letter of interest with a) description of background in dance and/or teaching and b) description of why you want advanced training in dance integration for K-5 schools and what you hope to do with this training.
  2. Resume (indicating dance or education background).
  3. Personal interviews may be requested.
